Sterling Bank Launches Virtual Cards

Sterling Bank launches virtual card  – Sterling Bank Plc has introduced a free virtual card to existing and potential OneBank customers to enable them to make easy and fast domestic or international payments on websites web sites like Netflix and Apple as well as shopping on sites like Amazon etc.

In a statement, Sterling Bank’s Digital Product Manager, Mr. Mustapha Otaru, said the service is open to all registered and new OneBank customers and is available on the OneBank app.

He advises new customers to open an account by downloading the app from the iOS store or the Android play store to generate their virtual card. According to Otaru, Sterling Bank launched OneBank in 2019 as a fully digital banking solution. He explained that the solution provides customers with instant banking and registration capabilities, adding that the solution also allows customers to pay, invest and borrow money.

He said that with OneBank, customers can do all banking services without going to a branch. He can board the plane himself, enter his BVN, upload his documents and start the transaction without going to a Sterling bank branch.

The statement reads: “OneBank customers can experience the ease of initiating investment plans, applying for loans and transferring funds, as well as enjoy dynamic news feeds, currency update scrolls and many other features,” he added.

Sterling Bank Plc is a leading national commercial banking institution in Nigeria. It started operating as NAL Bank in 1960. The bank has grown into an important financial institution with total current assets of N1,629 billion, 141 business locations and 700 ATMs across the country.
